Portsmouth Building Schools for the Future bidders have unveiled their plans to delegates at a conference, outlining local business opportunities for participation.
Private sector bidders for two Portsmouth Building Schools for the Future (BSF) projects have unveiled development plans to local businesses at a conference.
The £200 million
development investment plans were unveiled by the private sector partners at the BSF Means Business conference in Guildhall last month.
One of the projects includes the design and building of a new school in addition to the maintenance of 12 other institutions across the city.
Five companies explained the sub-contracting and supplying opportunities available to businesses, in addition to further information on how they propose to engage the local community in their schemes.
Transformation of the first two schools is not set to begin until 2011, with the local council set to select from five shortlisted companies that were presenting to the 200 conference delegates.
More than ten companies had initially expressed an interest in delivering the programme and submitted pre-qualifying questionnaires for the council's evaluation.
