Reading is a 'commercial property hotspot'

Reading's robust economy has ensured it is able to attract new commercial developments.

The commercial development outlook for Reading is better than most other towns in the region because of its ability to attract investment.

This is according to director of Haslams Estate Agents Steve Woodford, who said the nature of Reading's economy has driven it to success despite the economic uncertainty, easier.com reports.

"Whilst the last 18 months have been difficult for everyone, Reading has proved to be more resilient than most other Thames Valley towns," he explained.

"It has continued to attract inward investment and enjoys one of the most robust economies making it the ideal place to live and work."

Commercial finance is one of the driving forces behind the Berkshire town's Reading 2020 strategic vision, which will see a number of developments helping it to expand north, east and west.

Thanks to its location, a number of leading companies have snapped up commercial property in the town, including Cisco Systems, Oracle, Microsoft and Symantec.

Reading's population is just shy of 150,000, although this is expected to rise in the near future as new developments are completed.ADNFCR-2843-ID-19578134-ADNFCR
