A study by Investec Private Bank has found that commercial property sentiment remains strong in the UK.
The vast majority of property professionals have said that they would either maintain or increase their allocation to UK commercial property over the coming year, new research has found.
The study by Investec Private Bank found that 92 per cent of people in
property investment wish to increase their commercial exposure, while 54 per cent believe valuations in the sector will stabilise during 2010.
Paul Stevens of Investec said that UK commercial property is looking "increasingly attractive" to investors with
sources of finance.
"We believe this year will offer strong lending opportunities to both new and existing clients and we're expecting to meet a much higher level of demand to support development projects," he added.
It follows news that former British Land boss Andrew Jones is planning to raised £150 million via the flotation of investment company Metric Property, in an attempt to capitalise on commercial property loans due for refinancing.
