UK property investment firm F&C Reit has won an award for the total returns on one of its portfolios.
A major UK
property investment firm has received won an international award for the size of its total returns, it has been announced.
F&C Reit, the specialist
asset financing group, was recognised for its management of the Friends Provident Life and Pensions With Profits Fund property portfolio.
The award came at the Investment Property Databank European Property Investment Conference Awards held in Amsterdam.
F&C Reit's Richard Kirby said the firm was delighted to have won such a prestigious award, which it claims is validation of its commercial track record.
The success of the portfolio was judged on its annualised returns based over three years up to December 2009, during which time 42 per cent of the portfolio was managed by F&C Reit, with the rest in direct holdings.
In March, the F&C Property Trust reported it had seen a return per share of 8.7 per cent during the whole of 2009.
