The struggling construction sector could have an impact on commercial development projects.
Commercial development projects are likely to be affected as the UK's construction industry continues to struggle, according to latest research.
A new survey from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) found that growth in the building sector slowed again in August - the third consecutive month of falling activity.
In addition, construction firms reduced their staffing levels for the second straight month, as growth in orders from
property investment firms continues to falter.
CIPS chief executive David Noble said that a return to recession is unlikely, but low growth rates look likely for some time.
"The slight increase in public sector activity disguises continuing uncertainty about the scale of spending cuts which we have yet to experience," he added.
Commercial development firms were recently urged by The Carbon Trust Footprinting Company to invest more money in greener technology at the build stage.
